Fancy Fun Friday
On Friday 6th December, our class held a dress up day to raise money for the people in the Philippines who had a typhoon disaster. We had lots of interesting characters at school, such as, Bumble bee teachers, The hulk, John Cena, Harry Potter, Flower girls, and more. Some of the girls in room 4 also had a stall where they painted nails and sold handmade rings. Altogether we raised ... $121, what a great effort Frankton School!!!

Dangle
We have been learning about visual language, and today we watched a short clip called DANGLE. We watched only a small piece of the clip, then we wrote the end to the story. Come and read our endings.

It was a dark spooky night all you could hear was branches in the trees rustling. He could see a light red rope, he pulled it.It turned day "wow wee"he said. He pulled it again it was night. " I never doubted that rope!" he screamed. "Alright" he said, "I'll climb up the rope!" It takes him 3 weeks, 3 days, and 5 hours but he made it. It's still really dark. He walks for 20 minutes and then... "Surrender!" yells some knights. He battles them all and takes over their castle.

Quick Write Time
Today in class we have been doing quick write sessions, where we only have 10 minutes to plan, prepare, and write about a topic. Here are a few examples.
Kiwi Golf
I could hear the flags were flapping . I saw balls flying in the air like meteors. I can feel the golf club as I swing it in my hands. I wonder if we can do it again next time.

I heard people screaming and flags flapping. I saw people throwing balls, dropping balls and falling over. I felt the wind and the balls coming at me. I wonder if we can do that again.

Boom! Boom! went the thunder and lightning yesterday. I saw enormous flashes of yellow light
zig-zagging down. I felt big and small raindrops dripping down my back and freezing my toes. I wonder when will it go away?

Yesterday we played kiwi golf outside. I saw people laughing on the field. Then the people whacked the ball far. I felt strong because I hit the ball half way down the field.
